Can I form A Company LLC in NV even though I live in WA.
Nancy,
Yes, you could register a Nevada LLC using your home or office address in Washington as the registered business address.
If you conduct your business physically in Washington, as in working with your clients in person or through an office, then you would be required to register in your home state. If your business would be conducted solely online, then you are able to register in any state.
As Nevada has had some recent changes in fees, it is not always the most favored state to form your business in. If you are running an online company and will not be purchasing any property in Nevada, you may want to consider the possibility of registering your business in more cost-effective states such as Wyoming or Delaware. Keep in mind, when registering in a different state than your residence, you would need to maintain a registered agent in the state you are registering your business in.
