As we often learn, the best and the cheapest do not always walk hand in hand.

That being said, by most business principles, states such as Wyoming, Delaware and Nevada – commonly referred to as ‘The Corporate Heavens’ – are considered the most favorable to register in, due to those states’ business-friendly atmospheres. Regarding initial set-up costs, states such as Kentucky, Michigan, Colorado and Iowa are among the least costly to register using the state minimum requirements.

Keep in mind, if you have a business which operates using a physical brick-and-mortar location, such as a warehouse or office, or if you have any property or employees, the company would need to be registered in the state(s) where those are located.
