Can a sub LLC of a series LLC in Nevada own property in California with out paying the franchise fee?
Brad,
This area of law a bit murky. Generally speaking, if the property is a rental property then you would have to register in CA. However, if its not then there is a difference of opinion among practitioners and the CA DOS. As such, to be on the safe side it would be prudent to register foreign company in CA.
